Many people ask me what the gap fee will be before they make a booking. There is no easy answer to that question!

You can have several people in the same health fund, and they may all get different rebates and the gap fees will vary accordingly.

Let us consider one health fund, which I won't name. Some members get a fixed rebate of $20. Some get a rebate of 55%, some 70%, some 85% and some get a full rebate of 100% (which means a zero gap fee.)

To find out the gap fee in advance you will need to contact your Health Fund or look up your policy on their website.
